Travis Kelce couldn’t resist poking fun at his older brother, Jason Kelce, after Jason’s outfit choice became a topic of conversation during his debut on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown.” Jason, who recently retired after 13 successful seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, appeared on the show wearing a shirt that was noticeably too small, sparking playful banter between the Kelce brothers.
As ESPN host Scott Van Pelt introduced Jason, he explained that the retired NFL center had to make a last-minute purchase at the mall because he had forgotten his travel bag, which contained his intended wardrobe for the broadcast. Jason, 36, took it all in stride, humorously addressing his snug-fitting white button-up shirt, saying, “It fits my belly now; I’ve lost a little bit of weight, but my tits are still struggling,” while attempting to cover the tight fabric that strained across his chest.
The mishap quickly caught the attention of Travis Kelce who saw the lighter side of the situation and couldn’t resist chiming in on Instagram.

Commenting on a video of the segment posted by ESPN, Travis joked, “Surprised he even bought a new one, and didn’t just go shirtless.” His playful comment referenced Jason’s bold behavior earlier in the year when he famously ripped off his shirt to celebrate one of Travis’ touchdowns.
The shirtless celebration Travis alluded to occurred during a Kansas City Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills in January. Jason, who was watching the game from a VIP suite, enthusiastically tore off his shirt after Travis scored a crucial touchdown. The moment left Travis’ girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift, in shock as she watched Jason’s over-the-top reaction unfold. Jason then leaped from the suite into the stands at Highmark Stadium, taking the celebration to another level.
While Swift was caught off guard, Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, tried to rein him in, shouting at him to “get [his] ass back in here.” Despite the chaos, it was clear that Jason’s antics were all in good fun, and they didn’t surprise Travis at all. Reflecting on the moment in a post-game interview with Westwood One Sports, Travis remarked, “It didn’t surprise me one bit. I love that guy, and every time we’re not on the field together, we’re always rooting for each other.”
The brotherly bond between Travis and Jason has always been strong, with the two constantly supporting each other throughout their respective careers.
In 2022, Jason attended Travis’ first game of the season after his Eagles were eliminated by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the playoffs. Jason also stood by Travis during the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas, cheering him on alongside Swift and a group of celebrity friends as the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
Jason Kelce, who is now focusing on life after football, announced his retirement earlier this year after an impressive 13-season career with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite leaving the NFL, his debut on “Monday Night Countdown” showed that his sense of humor and ability to entertain remain as sharp as ever, even if his shirt size doesn’t quite match up.
