Travis and Jason Kelce are taking a break from their popular podcast, “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.”
During the latest episode, released on Wednesday, July 3, Jason announced that the brothers would be taking a two-month hiatus from their award-winning show to allow Travis to focus on his football career.
“It’s the end of season 2, which I don’t even know what seasons mean, we just do this show. All that means to us is we’ve got a nice couple of months off from podcasting because, I guess, in three weeks’ time Travis will be in the middle of training camp,” Jason explained.
“Yeah, literally,” Travis confirmed.
“And let me tell you, not enough time to do a podcast, especially the best podcast in the world,” Jason continued. “He’s gonna be busy focusing on football, getting in shape for this upcoming season. So we’re gonna be off for about two months.”
“I’m down to pick it up once we’re done with training camp,” added Travis, who plays tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jason emphasized that they plan to resume the podcast once Travis is out of training camp, potentially at the end of August.

The Kelce brothers launched their podcast in September 2022, covering a wide range of topics from family life and NFL signings to their favorite movies, the Super Bowl, and Travis supporting his girlfriend Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour, including his stage debut in London on June 23.
The podcast has received significant acclaim, winning Podcast of the Year at the 2024 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards in March.
In April, Travis signed a new two-year contract extension with the Chiefs, valued at over $17 million per year, making him the highest-paid tight end in the league, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.
Meanwhile, Jason announced his retirement from the NFL in March after 13 years. He has since been named a commentator for ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown.
Speaking about his new role in May, Jason said, “I feel incredible. I know what it takes to be great — it takes a great team. I am more than psyched to participate in all the shenanigans that’ll take place this season.”
He added, “I have three wonderful daughters, and my wife Kylie and I, we’ll be taking full advantage [of working for Disney].”
As the Kelce brothers take this well-deserved break, fans can look forward to their return, bringing more engaging content and insights once the NFL season is underway.
