An angry Travis Kelce shoved his own Chiefs teammate, George Karlaftis, after a late hit on Kadarius Toney at training camp.
The incident unfolded when Toney caught a pass from Patrick Mahomes, skillfully dodging a couple of defenders before being laid out by Karlaftis. Toney hit the ground, and tensions quickly escalated as he threw the ball at Karlaftis in retaliation. Mahomes jogged over to the scene, appearing to say something to diffuse the situation.
However, Kelce took matters further, bumping Karlaftis in the helmet before forcefully shoving the 23-year-old defensive end. Other teammates quickly intervened to separate the pair before the altercation could escalate further.

This is not the first time Kelce has been involved in a physical altercation during Chiefs training camp. Last year, he punched teammate Jack Cochrane during a practice drill after Cochrane attempted a late hit to knock the ball loose following a touchdown catch by Kelce.
Reflecting on that incident, Kelce later apologized on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Gotta be a better teammate, gotta be a better leader… plain and simple.”
Kelce spent much of the summer balancing work and travel as he followed his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, around Europe during her Eras Tour.
Before shifting his focus back to football, Kelce cherished every moment with the 14-time Grammy winner.
According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, leaving Swift in Europe was difficult for Kelce. “Travis’ last few concerts were bittersweet,” the insider shared about his time in Germany. “They knew their time together like this was coming to an end, and he made sure to spend every minute he could with Taylor.”
Despite their demanding schedules often placing them in different cities, Swift and Kelce prioritize their relationship, making every effort to be together between concerts and games. “It’s definitely tough to be apart, but they do everything they can to make it work and show up for each other,” the source revealed. “They’re so in love and very, very happy together. All their friends and family can see it.”
Kelce also dedicated part of his offseason to filming “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity” and Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series “Grotesquerie.”
Nevertheless, another insider noted that Kelce is “back in football mode,” emphasizing that his commitment to his team and the Chiefs remains paramount as they prepare for a potential threepeat championship run.
