Travis Kelce has revealed yet another affectionate nickname for his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, while reflecting on his memorable cameo during her Eras Tour. The Kansas City Chiefs star, who has previously called Swift “baby” and “sweetie,” shared his thoughts on his June 2024 onstage appearance during a chat on “The Rich Eisen Show” this past Tuesday.
“I’m always down to have some fun on stage with Tay Tay,” Kelce, 34, said, smiling as he reminisced about the experience.
Kelce, who has become as much a pop culture figure as a football star, admitted that he didn’t do much preparation for the performance. His cameo came toward the end of Swift’s “Tortured Poet’s Department” set, a part of her show where she is known for blending dramatic flair with emotional depth.
“Taylor knew when the lights are on, I’m gonna have some fun, and she put me in a position where I didn’t have to do much for it to be a success,” Kelce explained. “She made sure I was in a really comfortable part of the show.”
The tight end, whom Eisen jokingly dubbed the “First Gentleman of Pop Culture,” confessed that his main focus during the performance was to avoid any mishaps, especially when it came to lifting Swift during their segment. “That would have been the most embarrassing thing I could have done,” he said with a laugh.
Kelce also addressed the rumors swirling about Swift’s influence on the Chiefs’ playbook. Last week, Patrick Mahomes hinted that Swift had been drawing up plays for the team’s offense, and Kelce confirmed that his girlfriend has indeed been delving into football strategy.
“She’s been so open to learning more about football,” Kelce shared, noting that Swift came into their relationship with little knowledge of the game. “What makes her so good in her profession is that she’s so detailed in every aspect—from the lyrics to the music, even down to the releases and music videos. She’s just so curious and detailed, which has made her interested in learning about football.”

Despite her enthusiasm, Kelce admitted that he hasn’t shown any of Swift’s play designs to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. “She’s a little biased and just creates plays for me,” he joked, implying that her plays might involve getting the ball to him a bit too often.
As the NFL season approaches, Kelce might have a chance to put one of Swift’s plays to the test when the Chiefs face the Baltimore Ravens in their season opener. Swift, who attended 13 of Kelce’s games last season, is expected to be in the stands cheering him on.
The 14-time Grammy winner, who recently wrapped up the European leg of her record-breaking tour, has some downtime before the next leg of her tour.
According to reports, Swift plans to spend much of her time off in Kansas City, staying with Kelce as he gears up for what promises to be another exciting NFL season.
