The Chiefs tight end first expressed his laid-back approach to game attendance in 2016 while promoting his reality dating show, Catching Kelce. During an interview with WhoSay, Kelce candidly discussed what he expects from his partner when it comes to supporting his career.
“If you’re dating a professional athlete, I do not believe, at least for me, that you have to go to all the games,” Kelce explained, offering a realistic perspective on life as a “WAG” (wives and girlfriends of athletes). He added, “I mean, there’s eight home games, eight away games, plus playoffs. I don’t even expect my parents and my friends to make every single game.”
