Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour remains one of the most sought-after concerts, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce recently had the experience of a lifetime when he found himself on stage during one of her shows.
Last month, Swift performed three massive concerts at Wembley Stadium in London, each packed with surprises. However, nothing could have prepared her fans for what happened during the third show: Travis Kelce made a surprise appearance on stage.
Dressed in a tuxedo, top hat, and red-bottomed shoes, Kelce joined Swift during the Tortured Poets Department section of the show, sending the audience into a frenzy.
This week, Kelce finally opened up about the experience on his podcast, New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. Reflecting on his stage appearance, Kelce shared the one rule he set for himself: not to drop Taylor Swift while carrying her.
“The one thing I told myself is, ‘Do not drop the baby,’” Kelce said, referring to Swift. “‘Do not drop Taylor on your way over to this [expletive] couch.’ I was gonna do some extra stuff, but the golden rule was do not drop Taylor – just get her to the couch.”
His brother Jason, laughing, added, “No fumbles.”

On stage, Kelce was seen touching up Swift’s makeup, reacting to her outfit change, and then carrying her over to a red couch, much to the delight of the fans.
The Chiefs star, who has been dating Swift for nearly a year, may not have many more opportunities to join her on stage as the team’s training camp will be starting soon, gearing up for the 2024 season.
While Kelce enjoyed his moment in the spotlight with Swift, he is not interested in appearing on reality television. He recently declined an offer to be part of the Netflix series “Receiver,” a follow-up to the “Quarterback” series that featured his teammate Patrick Mahomes.
“After Pat did it, I did get asked about it. I don’t know. I’d rather just play ball, man,” Kelce said on the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast. “I’m already doing enough with the podcast and everything.”
With Chiefs training camp opening soon, Kelce is focused on helping his team make history by winning three straight Super Bowls. His brief foray into the world of pop concerts was a memorable diversion, but now it’s back to the gridiron for the star tight end.
