Travis Kelce remained tight-lipped about his culinary adventures with Taylor Swift during a recent press conference.
On Tuesday, June 11, when a reporter inquired about a YouTube Short showing Kelce cooking with his girlfriend, he chose to keep the details private. “That’s a good question,” Kelce responded. “I respect that question but I’m going to keep that one to myself because I thoroughly enjoy cooking with her so it’s something I’d rather just keep personal.”
Before moving on, Kelce playfully added, “Taylor makes a great pop-tart and cinnamon roll,” leaving the room with a cheeky smile.
A fan page shared a video of his remarks, dubbing his playful comment about Swift’s cooking a “mic drop moment.” Fans appreciated his humorous yet respectful approach, with comments like “I find this very endearing” and “This is who Taylor deserves.”
Some fans even suggested Swift should publish a cookbook featuring her “yummy” recipes.
In April, Swift posted a video on YouTube Shots capturing intimate moments, including one where Kelce kisses her while she cooks, and another showcasing her frosting cinnamon rolls. The video, captioned “For a Fortnight…” nods to a song from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Since going public with their relationship in October 2023, Swift has endeared herself to Kelce’s teammates by baking homemade treats like pop tarts, as Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid shared at the NFL Scouting Combine in February.
Earlier this month, Kelce spoke on ABC’s Good Morning America about maintaining his down-to-earth demeanor amidst his high-profile relationship and burgeoning career initiatives. “When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect of life that much easier,” he explained.
Kelce emphasized his intent to remain authentic and present, regardless of his on-field persona: “I’ve always been a very grounded guy… off the field, I just want to be a genuine person. I try not to get too far down the road because you just never know when opportunities are going to present themselves.”
