Travis Kelce made a splash at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami, not only enjoying the racing action but also connecting with fans in a heartwarming moment.
While mingling with attendees on Sunday, May 5, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end graciously accepted a friendship bracelet—a hallmark of his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour—from a young admirer.
In a clip shared by ESPN on Instagram, Kelce, sporting a vibrant green ensemble with sunglasses and a baseball cap, can be seen gratefully receiving the homemade jewelry amidst a bustling crowd.
Expressing his gratitude to the young fan, Kelce remarked, “You’re too kind, thank you very much,” before lamenting, “I wish I had one to give him back.”

Kelce’s presence at the race went beyond spectating. In October 2023, he and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes ventured into the realm of Formula 1 as investors in the Alpine Racing team, competing in the Grand Prix. Through Kelce’s management company A&A Management, the duo, alongside notable figures like Rory McIlroy and Anthony Joshua, spearheaded an ownership group securing a $218 million investment in Alpine Racing, announced by venture capital group Otro Capital.
In a statement, Kelce expressed his excitement about the partnership, deeming it a “dream come true” to collaborate with Mahomes and a “world-class” private equity firm. Mahomes echoed these sentiments, highlighting their shared values of teamwork and excellence.
Meanwhile, Mahomes, accompanied by his wife Brittany Mahomes in a chic pink-and-white gingham dress, also attended the Grand Prix.
Kelce’s Grand Prix outing coincided with news of his contract extension with the Chiefs. Recently, NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed that Kelce had agreed to a two-year extension, making him the highest-paid tight end in the league with an annual salary exceeding $17 million. Mahomes celebrated Kelce’s milestone contract on social media, affirming his commitment to keeping their formidable partnership intact.
