Travis Kelce is brushing off the negative reception Taylor Swift received at his recent game over the weekend.
The Kansas City Chiefs player addressed the mixed reactions from New England Patriots fans regarding his girlfriend’s presence at Gillette Stadium in the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
“They showed Taylor at the game,” shared the 34-year-old tight end with his brother Jason Kelce. “You don’t see an entire home team fan base go insane for someone wearing the opposite colors.
“Just shows you how amazing that girl is,” he praised. “They went absolutely insane when they showed Taylor on the screen.”
However, Travis acknowledged, “There might have been a few Brads and Chads that were booing. But for the most part, everyone was screaming their tail off for her.”
While maintaining composure and trying to “keep it cool,” Travis described the experience as fun. He also gave a shout-out to the Patriots for featuring Taylor, saying, “Taylor’s on record saying that stadium was one of the funnest that she’s played at. So for them to show her, shout-out to the Patriots for doing that.”
Travis Kelce also commended Grammy winner Taylor Swift’s dad, Scott Swift, for attending the game in stylish Chiefs gear, describing his outfit as “swaggy vintage.”
“Mr. Swift [was] in full Chiefs gear,” Travis said. “It’s kind of looking real nice on him. … He’s rocking it. And he seems to be enjoying himself.”

Travis had met Scott in Argentina before they attended one of Taylor’s Eras Tour performances last month. It was recently reported Travis has Scott’s blessing to marry his daughter.
Sunday’s game marked Scott’s first appearance at one of Travis’ matches, and the Chiefs emerged victorious with a 27-17 win.
Despite some Patriots fans booing Taylor on camera, she laughed off the negativity and enjoyed the game with her friend Brittany Mahomes. Taylor also made headlines for generously tipping stadium employees with $100 bills and watching with a smile as her dad distributed slices of her birthday cake to fellow fans.
Since launching their romance in September, Taylor Swift has been a regular presence at Travis Kelce’s games. A source revealed that the couple plans to spend the holidays together in Kansas City, Missouri.
