Sometimes love does cost a thing.
Travis Kelce’s affection for Taylor Swift knows no bounds, evident in his willingness to spare no expense in their romance. Since their relationship commenced in July 2023, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has reportedly lavished over an estimated $8 million on various expenditures, including a new home, travel, and extravagant gifts.
According to pop culture lifestyle expert Valerie Greenberg, Kelce’s commitment to romance extends beyond the football field, demonstrating a willingness to invest both emotionally and financially. The New York Post highlighted his significant purchases, with the pinnacle being a $6 million mansion in Kansas City, Missouri, acquired in October 2023 primarily for privacy reasons as their relationship garnered public attention.
But he may be shelling out more than half of his annual $14+ million salary — as much as $8,232,229 million by The Post’s estimate — while dating a billionaire.
The move stemmed from safety concerns, as Travis’s brother, Jason Kelce, disclosed during a recent podcast appearance. Notably, the new residence, situated within a gated community, boasts luxurious amenities spanning over 16,000 square feet, including six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a waterfall, swimming pool, and even a mini-golf course.
With an estimated net worth of $50 million and an annual salary of $14 million, Kelce has also indulged in extravagant travel, jetting to and from Taylor’s international concerts in Argentina, Australia, and Singapore via private jet, likely incurring expenses upwards of $300,000 per trip.
Beyond travel, Kelce’s displays of affection include lavish gifts and experiences.
Notably, he splurged $1 million on Taylor’s Super Bowl LVIII suite at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, where she hosted family and friends. Additional expenditures include more than $22,000 on gifts, including a $16,000 splurge on Valentine’s Day, featuring an Hermès scarf, custom gold bracelets, a Bottega Veneta bag, and a 24-karat gold rose sculpture, among other items.
