Travis Kelce is capitalizing on his rising fame.
Kansas City Chiefs’ 34-year-old tight end, Travis Kelce, made significant business moves this week by filing five new trademark requests with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. All these filings, made in his home state of Ohio, aim to enable Kelce to use these names and phrases on a wide range of merchandise, including bobbleheads, pins, jerseys, and more.
The five new trademarks include “Travis Kelce,” “Flight 87,” “Alright Nah,” “KillaTrav,” and “Kelce’s Krunch.” “Flight 87” is a reference to Kelce’s jersey number, No. 87, while “Alright Nah” represents his signature catchphrase. “KillaTrav” is Kelce’s Instagram username. Each of these trademarks has descriptions related to the sale of various merchandise items.
As per the filings, Kelce plans to release a variety of products, including buttons, bobbleheads, posters, hats, hoodies, socks, sweatpants, sweatshirts, polo shirts, jerseys, and t-shirts. Additionally, Kelce fans can anticipate a breakfast cereal called “Kelce’s Krunch.”

These trademark filings demonstrate Kelce’s astute business acumen, especially given the significant increase in his star power since he began dating Taylor Swift. Following Swift’s first public appearance to support him on September 24, Kelce’s jersey sales saw a 400% surge, as reported by Fanatics, the NFL’s e-commerce partner.
It seems clear that Kelce has ample motivation to maintain a high public profile, largely thanks to his relationship with Taylor Swift.
