Travis Kelce was all in at Churchill Downs.
The 34-year-old NFL star made a stylish appearance at the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday, May 4. Kelce was impeccably dressed for the prestigious horse racing event, sporting a white pinstriped double-breasted suit paired with a blue dress shirt and a dark tie. Completing his ensemble was a feather-trimmed hat, adding a touch of flair to his look.
A clip shared on the official Kentucky Derby Instagram account captured Kelce’s infectious enthusiasm as he cheered and celebrated trackside. The text overlay on the video revealed his elation, stating, “When you show up to the Kentucky Derby and your first bet hits.”
The post playfully exclaimed, “@killatrav off to a hot start at the Kentucky Derby.”
Late-night host Jimmy Fallon also shared a moment from the event on his Instagram, featuring a friendly encounter between him and Kelce. The pair engaged in conversation and exchanged a handshake hug, with Fallon holding an adorable dog in his arms, both donning light suits for the occasion.

Before the equestrian extravaganza, Kelce enjoyed the company of The Chainsmokers backstage at their Kentucky Derby performance at the Ice House on Friday, May 3. The event was part of the Sports Illustrated Revel at the Races concert series.
In a snapshot shared on Alex Pall’s Instagram Stories, Kelce posed with what seemed to be retired NBA star Chandler Parsons. Additional photos captured Kelce mingling and sharing laughs with fellow guests inside the venue.
The Kentucky Derby, steeped in history since its inception in 1875, continues to draw massive crowds annually. Last year’s attendance reached nearly 150,000, surpassing even the viewership of the 2024 Super Bowl, which Kelce and the Chiefs clinched earlier this year.
Known for his vibrant personality, Kelce’s partying prowess has become legendary among his peers. According to his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, keeping up with the Kelce brothers’ revelry has become a daunting task, especially since Mahomes became a father of two.
During an interview on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Mahomes, 28, jokingly admitted, “No, I cannot [keep up with the Kelce brothers].” He reminisced about his pre-parenthood days when he could match their energy but conceded that now he has to be more selective about his outings.
Despite the festivities, Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was noticeably absent from the Kentucky Derby. The 34-year-old pop sensation is currently preparing for the international leg of her highly anticipated Eras Tour in Paris.
Recently, it was confirmed that Swift will not attend the Met Gala on Monday, May 6, opting instead to focus on rehearsals and tour preparations. The tour, resuming on May 9 in Paris, will see Swift embarking on a journey across Europe throughout the spring and summer.
