Travis Kelce is back in the recording booth, lending his voice to his brother Jason Kelce’s new Christmas album. The retired Philadelphia Eagles legend shared a music video for the festive song on Friday, showcasing the Kelce brothers’ musical talents once again. The Kelce brothers first teased the new track, titled “It’s Christmas Time (In Cleveland Heights),” back in October with a preview video.
Fans were thrilled with Travis’s singing, and the teaser created a buzz that left many eagerly awaiting the full release.
Now, with the entire song available, fans have been treated to a taste of the holiday cheer that the Kelce brothers are bringing this season.
Jason Kelce expressed his gratitude to his brother for participating in the project for the second year in a row. “Travis has been gracious enough to help out and sing on our Christmas album for a second year, and this year it hits extra close to home, in an ode to our hometown,” Jason wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “I hope you enjoy this music video! If you want to support Operation Snowball, you can do so here.”
The song is part of the third and final album from The Philly Specials, a group that includes Jason Kelce and his former Eagles teammates Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata.
The album, titled “A Philly Special Christmas Party,” is set to be released on November 22 and will feature a variety of star-studded collaborations, including legendary R&B group Boyz II Men, Stevie Nicks, The Roots, and more. The Philly Specials have previously released albums that benefitted various charities in the Philadelphia area, continuing their tradition of giving back to the community.
In the new song, Travis Kelce reflects on his roots, singing nostalgically about his hometown of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. His heartfelt lyrics, “Wanderin’ the streets of my hometown / Must’ve been years since I’ve been home,” showcase his pride in where he comes from and add a personal touch to the festive tune.
The collaboration with Boyz II Men and the Kelce brothers’ own vocal contributions make for a heartwarming and soulful holiday track.
The album also features Philadelphia indie rock band Mt. Joy, who previously teamed up with Jason Kelce for another festive track. Last November, before a Washington Commanders vs. Eagles game at Lincoln Financial Field, Mt. Joy and Jason Kelce put a holiday twist on the band’s debut single “Astrovan,” performing “Santa Drives an Astro Van” in front of a crowd of excited fans.
Travis Kelce’s involvement in the holiday album isn’t his first foray into Christmas music. Last year, he joined his brother for a fun cover of The Pogues’ classic “Fairytale of New York,” which was given a Philadelphia twist and retitled “Fairytale of Philadelphia.”
The Kelce brothers’ holiday music collaborations have quickly become a beloved tradition for fans, combining their love of music with their passion for spreading holiday cheer.
Beyond his musical endeavors, Travis Kelce has also made headlines for his relationship with global pop superstar Taylor Swift. The couple has been dating since last year, and their relationship has captivated fans around the world.
Taylor recently caused a stir among fans when she liked a social media post celebrating Travis’s nomination for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year award. The award honors players for their excellence on and off the field, and Swift’s show of support added an extra layer of excitement for the couple’s fans.
