Travis Kelce recently shared some endearing insights into Taylor Swift’s unassuming demeanor during her first NFL game experience, captivating fans with her relatable, down-to-earth approach. Speaking on the ‘Bussin’ With the Boys’ podcast, Kelce recounted how Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.
The pop star notably chose to forgo any VIP treatment, instead opting to join Kelce’s family and friends in a regular stadium box, much to Kelce’s admiration.
Kelce was prepared to offer Swift the typical celebrity accommodations—private entries, enhanced security, and secluded seating.
Yet, Swift’s preference was simple: to experience the game just like everyone else. “The first game she came to against the Bears, I was like… I could probably set you up with everything,” Kelce said. “And she just walked right through the front door. There’s no like going down, talking to security that she gets to her… she was just like, ‘I just want to be around the family and friends and experience this with everybody.’”
This gesture, Kelce noted, deeply impressed him and showed her desire to support him in a very genuine, unpretentious manner.
Swift’s presence at Kelce’s games became a regular occurrence as the season progressed, with her support evidently becoming a staple of his sporting life.
In turn, Kelce has been an enthusiastic attendee at Swift’s concerts, particularly her electrifying Eras Tour.
He expressed his admiration for her performance prowess, noting, “The concerts are electric, they’re electric. And she just switched it up, she just came out with the same album. So she kinda incorporated that into the new show.”
Kelce highlighted how Swift’s joy in performing makes the concert experience even more enjoyable for him. “She’s having fun up there, so I can enjoy seeing her in her element, killing it on stage. I love the show man, she’s got bangers,” he added, clearly proud of her achievements and the energy she brings to her live performances.
The reciprocal support extended to Kelce’s brother, Jason, who, along with his wife Kylie, recently attended a Swift concert in London—their first time experiencing Swift’s tour.
Speaking on their ‘New Heights’ show, Jason expressed his awe at Swift’s talent and stamina: “Dude, it was amazing. It was insanely impressive. Obviously, Taylor is an amazing singer-songwriter but then to be able to go up there and be a performer at that level for three and a half hours.”
Adding a playful twist to their cross-support, Travis even made a surprise appearance on stage during one of Swift’s London shows, donning a tuxedo and top hat, and joining her backup dancers in a lively interlude, much to the delight of the crowd.
This moment not only highlighted his support for Swift but also his willingness to engage playfully with her artistry, further intertwining their public personas in both their professional worlds.
