When Travis Kelce raised his hands to form a heart shape while celebrating his first touchdown in the playoff victory against Buffalo, many assumed it was a gesture to his girlfriend Taylor Swift, who was present.
However, on the latest episode of the “New Heights Podcast” with his brother Jason, Travis clarified that it was actually meant for Bills fans who had been trash-talking.
“I had to spread the love, baby! You always got to spread that love, baby,” Kelce explained. “There was a lot of hate pulling up to that stadium, man. Understandable. It’s a football game. The Bills, coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? One thousand percent. Did it get a little extra? One thousand percent.”

Kelce refrained from disclosing the exact nature of the comments but mentioned that disrespectful remarks were made about the Kelce family and Patrick Mahomes. The podcast segment discussing these comments can be found around the 24-minute mark.
In the end, Kelce and the Chiefs emerged victorious with a 27-24 win over the Bills, securing their place in a sixth-straight AFC Championship Game. They will strive for a fourth trip to the Super Bowl in the last six years when they face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
