After spending time with Travis Kelce at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe earlier this month, Kyle Juszczyk has shared his admiration for the Kansas City Chiefs star and his relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift.
The 33-year-old San Francisco 49ers fullback sees Kelce and Swift as an ideal match, highlighting the similarities between Kelce and his own teammate, Christian McCaffrey, who recently married model Olivia Culpo.
“I just spent some time with Travis this past weekend,” Juszczyk told Us Weekly. “In both Travis and Christian, I saw how little I needed to say because they were already doing it. They’re both already so supportive of their spouses and have stayed so genuine.”
Juszczyk elaborated on why he believes Kelce and Swift, as well as McCaffrey and Culpo, are so beloved by fans. “I think maybe that is part of the reason why they’re so beloved by fans and why people love both of those couples,” he said. “They all stayed so genuine and real. They haven’t become too good for everyone.”

Juszczyk’s wife, Kristin, who he married in 2019, developed a friendship with Swift during the 2024 NFL playoffs when she designed custom Chiefs fan gear for the pop star. Since then, Juszczyk has observed how Kelce and Swift manage to maintain their relationship despite their demanding careers.
“I think having—whether it’s a wife or a girlfriend or whatever—on that same level as you kind of keeps you grounded,” Juszczyk noted.
After the 49ers’ narrow Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs earlier this year, the Juszczyks were seen vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with the McCaffreys and another couple—teammate George Kittle and his wife, Claire.
In a humorous anecdote, Kittle recalled asking Kelce for permission to use the bathroom at Swift’s vacation home in Rhode Island while attending the McCaffrey wedding in Westerly via text.
Kittle, reflecting on Kelce’s prowess, said before Super Bowl LVIII in February, “He’s a fantastic football player. He’s probably a first-ballot Hall of Famer. So, anything you can get from Travis Kelce, it’s awesome. And the fact you’re friends too, it makes it a little bit sweeter as well.”
As the NFL season approaches, the camaraderie and mutual respect among these players and their partners add a heartwarming layer to the competitive spirit of the league.
