Kayla Nicole, the ex-girlfriend of NFL star Travis Kelce, has had enough of the online hate. Recently, she fired back at a wave of cruel comments from Taylor Swift fans who have targeted her appearance amid Kelce’s highly publicized romance with the global pop star.
The latest round of negativity came when a fan page posted unfiltered photos of Nicole getting her hair done without makeup. The troll, clearly intending to insult, sarcastically captioned the images with, “Very pretty,” and included a puking emoji.
Nicole, however, wasn’t about to let the hate go unchecked. Retweeting the post, she defiantly responded, “YOU WILL NEVER MAKE ME HATE ME. Hang it upppppppp bookie.”
Her bold clapback sparked a wave of support from her fans, who quickly rallied around her. One person wrote, “You’re beautiful…this is so weird??!” Another added, “I’m confused…because you look gorgeous here…true flops all around.” A third supporter commented, “Not them making a fan page to hate you. It’s getting weird.” Yet another fan simply said, “Girl, you are absolutely gorgeous. F the haters.”
Nicole has faced a relentless barrage of online harassment ever since Kelce, 34, went public with his relationship with Swift, also 34, in September 2023. Swift’s fanbase, notoriously protective of the singer, has taken to targeting Nicole, who dated Kelce on and off from 2017 to 2022.

In October 2023, Nicole addressed the growing hostility in an open letter directed at Black women, offering support to those who, like her, have experienced public scrutiny. In the heartfelt message, she acknowledged the “backlash and embarrassment” she’s faced in the wake of Kelce and Swift’s romance. She urged her followers to protect their peace by not engaging with the negativity, writing, “Preserve your heart even when they try to quantify your character and test your boundaries. … You do not have to respond. Because there is power in your silence.”
Despite her efforts to rise above the hate, the attacks have continued. In January, Nicole posted a TikTok video seemingly aimed at Swift’s more aggressive fans, whom she described as “fake page, s–t-talking, cult following, keyboard warriors.” In the video, she sarcastically suggested they “maybe take the year off, babe?”
The situation escalated again in April, just before Swift released her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. Nicole, clearly fed up with the constant online vitriol, took to Twitter, saying, “I’m unproblematic. Mind my business. Never respond to the constant vitriol. Solid as they come & don’t expect a pat on the back for it either. Just know everyone has a breaking point & would love for ‘y’all’ (because you know exactly who you are) to leave me alone.”
Despite maintaining a dignified silence for most of the year, Nicole has continued to be bombarded with negative comments.
Her relationship with Kelce ended in May 2022, but over a year later, after Kelce went public with Swift, Nicole found herself once again in the spotlight — and not in a good way.
Throughout it all, Nicole has stood firm in her refusal to be defined by the hurtful words of strangers. Her message to her haters is clear: they may try to tear her down, but she will never let them make her hate herself.
