Travis and Jason Kelce are reportedly in negotiations for a new contract concerning their popular podcast, New Heights, with talks indicating a potential deal worth $100 million.
During the previous NFL season, New Heights experienced a significant surge in popularity, attributed in part to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce’s high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift and his team’s Super Bowl victory.
Meanwhile, Jason Kelce’s growing prominence on the show, bolstered by his close relationship with his younger brother, contributed to its success. Recently, Jason retired from his 13-season tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles, likely paving the way for a deeper involvement in the media industry, potentially starting with a lucrative agreement for the podcast.
MarketWatch reported that the Kelce brothers could secure a nine-figure deal to continue the podcast, emphasizing the deep connection they have with their audience. Eric Silver, head of development at Multitude, a podcast collective studio and ad-sales provider, highlighted the importance of this audience connection in podcasting, suggesting that a $100 million deal wouldn’t be surprising given their appeal.

A new deal for the “New Heights” show could be a massive one, as the market for the top podcasters has been robust in recent years. Last month, Spotify’s Joe Rogan renewed his deal with the streamer for an estimated $250 million and the “SmartLess” podcast moved from Amazon to SiriusXM LSXMK, 1.15% in a $100 million deal.
This news follows a report in Bloomberg indicating that the Kelces are exploring new terms, with suggestions of a deal worth around $80 million. The podcast, which covers NFL topics alongside personal anecdotes and reflections on their upbringing, has amassed 2.3 million subscribers since its inception in September 2022. Episodes are released every Wednesday, with bonus editions during the NFL season previewing weekend games.
Despite Jason Kelce’s retirement from football, he leaves the sport with career earnings of approximately $81 million from his time with the Philadelphia Eagles. Travis Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl winner with the Kansas City Chiefs, has earned an estimated $77 million to date. While Travis has hinted at retirement, he plans to continue playing for at least one more season as his team pursues an unprecedented three-peat.
Reflecting on the podcast during Super Bowl week in Las Vegas, Jason expressed how it strengthened his bond with Travis, highlighting the meaningful conversations they share. He emphasized the joy they find in connecting with their audience and witnessing the podcast’s growth, attributing its success to various factors, including Travis’s love life. Ultimately, the podcast’s evolution underscores the Kelce brothers’ commitment to authenticity and meaningful dialogue with their listeners.
