During Saturday’s broadcast, TBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson, standing at a modest five-foot-two, found herself the center of attention for her interview with towering Purdue center Zach Edey, who stands at an impressive seven-foot-four.
Their noticeable height difference became a source of amusement across the nation following Purdue’s 63-50 victory over NC State in the Final Four.
As a seasoned television professional, Wolfson seemed determined not to repeat the same scenario.

In her subsequent interview with Connecticut center Donovan Clingan, who stands at seven-foot-two, after his team’s 86-72 win over Alabama, Wolfson came prepared with a step ladder.
“Tracy Wolfson now comes equipped with a prop, and it’s proving to be quite effective,” remarked play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle.
“You heard it right, Ian. When you said I needed a ladder, I made sure to bring one along,” Wolfson quipped in response.
Despite the humorous exchange, Clingan showcased his exceptional skills in Connecticut’s victory, contributing 18 points and five rebounds.
Connecticut is set to face Purdue in the national championship game on Monday, aiming for their second consecutive title and sixth overall championship victory.
