Derrick Henry, the two-time NFL rushing leader for the Tennessee Titans, is poised to enter free agency, sparking speculation about his next destination.
Following the conclusion of the Titans’ 2023-24 campaign, Henry bid what could potentially be a farewell to Titans fans. Already, two teams have emerged as frontrunners in the race to acquire him, with the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles reportedly topping the list of potential landing spots.
The prospect of Henry joining the Eagles conjures an intimidating offensive lineup, featuring quarterback Jalen Hurts, wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, tight end Dallas Goedert, and the addition of All-Pro running back Derrick Henry to the backfield—a combination that is enough to strike fear into opponents.
The Eagles are expected to be in the market for a new RB1, especially with the likelihood of D’Andre Swift’s departure.

Henry’s connection to the Ravens dates back to last season’s trade deadline when the team sought a replacement for the injured JK Dobbins. Although a deal never materialized, the Ravens could now pursue Henry in free agency without having to part with draft compensation.
According to oddsmakers, both the Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens are tied with the best chances (+350) of landing Henry this offseason.
While Henry may be entering free agency past his prime at 30 years old, his impressive performance in 2023, tallying 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns with an average of 4.2 yards per carry, demonstrates that he remains a formidable force on the field.
Drafted by the Titans in 2016 from Alabama, Henry accumulated 9,502 rushing yards and 89 touchdowns during his tenure with Tennessee, solidifying his place as the franchise’s second-highest rusher in history, trailing only Eddie George.
