Tommy DeVito is currently entangled in a local pizza shop dispute.
Coniglio’s pizzeria and bakery in Morristown, New Jersey had planned for an appearance by the New York Giants quarterback this week. DeVito was initially slated to receive $10,000 for autograph signing and guest interaction.

However, the pizza shop alleges that after last week’s victory, DeVito’s agent increased his fee to $20,000, a sum the pizza shop claims they cannot afford.
In response to the controversy, DeVito’s agent, Sean Stellato, clarified on Monday morning, stating that there was never a formal agreement.
“It’s a shame that the restaurant promoted that they would have Tommy when we didn’t have a signed contract. We didn’t raise the price because nothing was ever agreed to.”
The restaurant’s owner countered, stating, “We agreed in principle to terms — 2 hours, 250 autographs, and $10,000, and then the agent couldn’t be reached. He reached back out after Monday’s game to tell us the price was now $20,000.”
Such situations seem uniquely tied to teams like the New York Giants or perhaps the Jets. Fame often comes with the double-edged sword of being built up and, at times, facing scrutiny. The unpredictability of the internet adds another layer to the complexities of celebrity.
