Tom Brady’s son Jack is all grown up, and the proud dad recently showed off their bond during a special outing. On Friday, the retired NFL quarterback took to his Instagram Story to share a heartwarming selfie with his 17-year-old son, Jack, while they attended the New York Knicks vs. Brooklyn Nets game at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The snapshot captured the father-son duo smiling together from their courtside seats, with Brady captioning it, “The luckiest Dad in the world,” accompanied by three red heart emojis.
Their courtside appearance at the game wasn’t just captured in the selfie. The duo were also photographed enjoying the action from the best seats in the house, and Brady was even seen tossing a football across the court at one point, showing that his football instincts never fade, even at a basketball game.
For the outing, Brady, now 47, kept his look classic and comfortable, opting for a black sweater paired with jeans and boots, accessorized with reading glasses.
Meanwhile, Jack sported a laid-back look with a sweatshirt, jacket, jeans, and sneakers—embracing the casual style of a teenager just out for a good time with his dad.
Tom Brady shares Jack with his ex, actress Bridget Moynahan, with whom he was in a relationship from 2004 to 2006. Jack has grown up largely out of the spotlight, but Brady has often shared how much his eldest son means to him.
In addition to Jack, Brady is also a father to two younger children—14-year-old son Benjamin and 11-year-old daughter Vivian—whom he shares with his ex-wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
The proud dad has been open about the challenges of fatherhood, even admitting to mistakes along the way. Earlier this month, Brady spoke candidly about parenting during the Fortune Global Forum in New York City. “Being a parent is probably the hardest job all of us have, and we screw up a lot—and I’ve screwed up a lot as a parent,” Brady confessed.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion made it clear that, despite his legendary status in football, there’s no handbook for being a perfect parent. “There’s no expert in parenting,” Brady noted, adding that he tries to be “dependable and consistent” for his kids, doing his best to support them in their individual journeys.
In a video obtained by TMZ, Brady also expressed the unique challenges that come with being his child. “It sucks to be Tom Brady’s son in so many ways,” he shared, acknowledging the unique pressures that Jack, Benjamin, and Vivian face. “There’s a lot of challenges I faced as a kid … my kids naturally are going to be faced with their own challenges … and I’ll be there to support them … and I’ll be learning along the way with them,” Brady added, highlighting his desire to be there for his children in every way possible.
The comments come as news broke about his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen’s new chapter. Bündchen, now 44, is reportedly expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente.
According to an insider. Brady was “shocked” by the news, despite knowing that the relationship between Gisele and Joaquim had become serious. “Tom knew that things were serious between Gisele and Joaquim but he never imagined they would be having a child together,” the insider shared.
Brady and Bündchen were married in 2009 and were a high-profile couple for over a decade, sharing a glamorous life and raising their children together.
Before their split in 2022, the two were reportedly open to the idea of having another child, but that chapter closed as their marriage came to an end.
As Brady steps further away from the spotlight of professional sports, it’s clear that his focus is on being the best dad he can be.
Whether it’s taking Jack to an NBA game, tossing a football for fun, or reflecting on his parenting journey, Brady is embracing the challenges and joys of fatherhood—even if he admits he’s not perfect.
The love he has for his children shines through, and he’s determined to be a steady presence in their lives, no matter what the future holds.
