Tom Brady was relatively drama-free for most of his NFL career, but over the last few years, he has slowly morphed into the Drama King.
Tom Brady revealed that he has faced “a lot of drama” following his divorce from Gisele Bündchen.
In a recent episode of his “Let’s Go!” podcast, the retired athlete opened up about acknowledging his shortcomings, which he admitted can be “difficult” to do.
“We should all have self-awareness, it’s a hard trait to have. “We’re in a culture where it’s hard to own up to things these days,” he said.
“For someone like me, I’m in the public eye a lot. I always try to say the right thing. I don’t want to deal with any more drama in my life. I already have a lot of drama.”
Bündchen, 43, and Brady, 46, revealed their divorce after 13 years of marriage in October 2022, primarily due to his choice to come out of retirement from the NFL earlier that year.
The former couple has two children together: their 13-year-old son Benjamin and their 10-year-old daughter Vivian. Brady is also the father of a 16-year-old son named Jack, from his previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan.
Almost a year after their separation, Bündchen revealed her desire to make her marriage succeed.
“[Our split was] not what I dreamed of and what I hoped for. My parents have been married for 50 years, and I really wanted that to happen,” she told Lee Cowan in a “CBS News Sunday Morning” interview last month.
“But I think you have to accept, you know, sometimes that the way you are in your 20s, it’s sometimes you grow together, sometimes you grow apart.”
Following their separation, the seven-time Super Bowl champion has been spotted with the 37-year-old model Irina Shayk on multiple occasions.
Tom has also been linked to Kim Kardashian, so it’s not all bad for the newly retired NFL star.
