The video, likely filmed during the Thunder’s visit to New Orleans for the playoffs, shows Giddey near Tulane University. He was walking with a woman when a heckler started filming and provocatively questioned, “Is she of age, is she of age?”
Giddey and his companion chose to ignore the heckler, walking away without engagement. The woman, realizing they were being filmed, covered her face, and the video ended shortly after without further interaction.

In November 2023, Giddey found himself under scrutiny for a different reason. He was seen in photos with a young woman, leading to viral speculation about their relationship.
Allegations surfaced that she was 15 while he was 19, prompting a police investigation. However, after thorough scrutiny, the Newport Beach Police Department cleared Giddey of any wrongdoing. Their statement clarified, “Our detectives have reviewed all of the available information and were unable to corroborate any criminal activity related to Mr. Giddey.”
