Shots fired.
Professional wrestlers have long had a history of “taking shots” at the host city especially if they are playing up a “villain” angle.
WWE star and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appeared to do just that as he was explaining the reason he was late to a WWE event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
‘The Rock said he was late to his WWE event in Philly because he was busy watching videos of Jalen Hurts losing in the playoffs’

The always civil Philly sports fans are going to love that one!
Quarterback Jalen Hurts and the Eagles started off the season great in 2023 as they started 11-1, but they faltered thereafter with a 1-5 record to close out the regular season and a Wild Card round playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa, Florida.
The wrestling world is gearing up for the biggest two days in professional wrestling as the WWE will be hosting Wrestlemania 2024 this weekend at Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the Philadelphia Eagles.
“The Rock” has quite the connection to football as he played for the Miami Hurricanes while in college from 1990-94 as a defensive tackle. He won the National Championship with the Hurricanes in 1991.
Following his Hurricanes career, Johnson was signed by the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League, but was cut just two months into the 1995 season.
Currently, Johnson is co-owner of the United Football League which was created following the merger of the XFL and USFL, and just embarked on its first season as a professional football league in March of 2024.
