Skip Bayless did not address his departure from Fox Sports during his final appearance on “Undisputed,” and the reason is rather sad.
On Thursday, former Fox Sports host Marcellus Wiley revealed that Bayless’ last appearance on “Undisputed” would be Friday, following a month of speculation about his exit from FS1.
Despite the anticipation, Bayless did not mention his departure during his final on-air segment. Instead, he took to social media to release a statement.
Via Skip Bayless on X: “Today was my last show on Undisputed. I’m leaving FS1. I’ve been planning to pursue other opportunities for several months. I had a great 8-year run with a lot of great people at FOX, but now I’m excited for what’s coming up. Stay tuned.”

According to Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports, Bayless chose not to address his departure on air due to his disappointment over the situation. Sources suggest that Bayless was unhappy about being pushed out and may blame Fox Sports executives for not resolving the feud with his co-host Shannon Sharpe.
Via Front Office Sports: “So why didn’t Bayless address it on Friday’s show? I’m hearing the proud Bayless was so disappointed at being pushed out of the network he helped build that he passed on the chance to address his departure. Bayless may also blame FS1 executives, rather than himself, for not fixing the feud with Sharpe before it got completely out of hand, say sources.”
As Bayless leaves FS1, the sports media world is abuzz with speculation about his next move. Considering ESPN has already stated they are not interested in bringing him back, it will be intriguing to see where Bayless ends up next.
