Terrell Owens is in remarkable shape for a 50-year-old retired athlete.
The former NFL wide receiver, known for his impressive career statistics, showcased his athletic prowess during the MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game on Saturday night by hitting a home run off Team USA and University of Arizona legend Jennie Finch.
Owens, who ranks third in NFL history in career receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, looked like he could still compete at a high level. Despite his age, he continues to defy expectations with his physical condition. The three-time First-Team All-Pro recently ran routes in Los Angeles, demonstrating that his skills remain sharp.
Saturday’s performance was yet another example of Owens’ enduring athleticism. Playing for the National League in the Celebrity All-Star Game, Owens faced Finch, who pitched for the American League. Finch, one of the greatest pitchers of all time and an Olympic gold medalist, wasn’t throwing her usual heat but rather a slow pitch.
Even so, Owens connected with one of Finch’s pitches and sent it deep for a no-doubt home run. The ball almost cleared the actual Major League park in Arlington, hitting the fence at 330 feet.

While it wasn’t an official home run and Finch wasn’t pitching at full strength, the feat remains impressive. Owens managed to muscle the softball 330 feet, an extraordinary achievement for anyone, let alone a 50-year-old.
His swing might not have been perfect, but his power was undeniable.
In addition to Owens’ home run, the Celebrity Softball Game featured another memorable moment when a playful scuffle broke out between New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox celebrities. Mero took a pitch on the leg from Pedro Martinez and humorously charged the mound, though his teammates didn’t come to his aid.
The MLB All-Star festivities will continue with the Home Run Derby on Monday and the actual All-Star Game on Tuesday.
Given Owens’ performance, there’s a case to be made for including him in the Home Run Derby to see how he stacks up against the current Major Leaguers. Clearly, Terrell Owens still has the talent and charisma to captivate audiences.
