Caitlin Clark has gotten the bag.
The Indiana Fever star recently signed an eight-figure shoe deal with Nike and now those terms have officially been revealed.
According to reports from The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday, the deal with Clark is set for eight years and $28 million, the highest-ever sponsorship contract for a women’s basketball player, which also includes her own signature shoe.
These reports are based on information from unnamed sources familiar with negotiations between Nike and Clark, the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer who was recently chosen as the top pick in the WNBA Draft.

Clark’s initial NIL deal while she was at Iowa, inked back in 2022, came to an end at the close of the 2023-24 season.
Prior to turning pro, Clark amassed approximately $3 million in NIL earnings during her time at Iowa, thanks to deals with companies like State Farm and Gatorade, as reported by the WSJ.
Interestingly, negotiations for the new Nike contract had already begun before Clark announced her decision to forgo her fifth season at Iowa, taking advantage of the COVID-19 exemption provided to players during the 2020 pandemic season.
Clark’s remarkable performance, averaging 31.6 points per game and leading the Hawkeyes to their second consecutive national championship game, culminated in her being selected as the top pick by the Indiana Fever in the WNBA Draft on April 15th.
As a rookie, Clark will earn a $76,000 salary which has drawn plenty of attention due to its relatively modest dollar figure, but she won’t be sweating that with the $28 million Nike deal that she just inked.
Clark’s impact on women’s basketball has been tremendous.
36 out of the Fever’s 40 games will be televised this WNBA season and ticket prices are surged across the league.
