Cheryl Reeve, currently at the head coach of the Minnesota Lynx and the Team USA Women’s National Basketball team, doesn’t seem to thrilled with the amount of coverage given to Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark.
Reeve replied to a post on X from the WNBA highlighting the Fever’s preseason match-up with the Dallas Wings.
ALSO in action tonight – @minnesotalynx vs @chicagosky 7pm CST. Though fans won’t be able to watch, #Lynx fans can go to the Lynx app to follow along via play by play. Or if you are in market, come to the game…as we start the season off right
While Reeve is of course going to support her Minnesota Lynx, it’s probably also important for her to read the room.
No player in women’s basketball history up to this point has drawn the attention that Clark has which will benefit the WNBA as a whole.
There’s also the fact that the WNBA post on X highlighted the Indiana Fever team without mentioning Clark at all besides the photo included.
Clark and the Indiana Fever will kick off their season on May 14 against the Connecticut Sun.
