Swifties never miss a beat.
Sharp-eyed fans of Taylor Swift praised the singer’s “genius” as she seemingly dropped hints about her relationship with Travis Kelce back in August, weeks before they officially went public with their romance. A video shared by a keen-eyed fan on Tuesday showcased Swift playing the song “Dress” during her August 7 show, noting that the date and lyrics carried a hidden meaning.
“Her playing ‘Dress’ on 8/7 and singing ‘they got no idea about me and you’ while her and Travis were secretly dating, and his number is 87. Oh Taylor Swift, you insane woman,” the user wrote.
“SHES SO SMART,” exclaimed one fan in response, while another added, “She is really a very smart woman… and a genius at that.”
“That’s why she’s THE Mastermind!!!!!!!!!!!!!,” chimed in a fourth admirer.
Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end didn’t make their relationship public until Swift’s appearance at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24. However, in her recent interview with Time Magazine, the “Blank Space” singer revealed that she and Kelce had started seeing each other in July.

Swift shared that they began hanging out “right after” Kelce mentioned attempting to pass his number to her through a friendship bracelet at her July concert in Kansas City, Missouri.
“So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other,” Swift said, referring to Kelce’s creative shoutout as “metal as hell.”
Swift officially confirmed that they “were a couple” during her first game-day appearance.
“I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game?” Swift said. “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
Since making their relationship public, Swift has been more overt with her on-stage mentions of Kelce. During a recent show in Buenos Aires, she tweaked the lyrics to “Karma,” playfully singing, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me,” as Kelce watched from the VIP tent.
The two-time Super Bowl champ appeared delighted, while Swift’s father, Scott, shared in the excitement.
As Swift enjoys the holiday season and a break from touring in the US, fans eagerly anticipate more Easter eggs and hints during her future performances when she resumes touring in February, starting in Tokyo, Japan.
