Taylor Swift is throwing her support behind boyfriend Travis Kelce as he vies for one of football’s most prestigious honors: the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.
The Kansas City Chiefs star tight end, 35, has been nominated for the accolade, which recognizes players for their excellence on and off the field. Swift, 34, didn’t miss a beat in showing her approval, “liking” a heartfelt video posted on the Chiefs’ Instagram account on Thursday, December 5, celebrating Kelce’s nomination.
“You know him for what he does on Sundays, but his efforts reach further than the football field,” the Chiefs captioned the post. “Thank you for all that you do, @killatrav ?.”
The video offers a glimpse into Kelce’s journey, starting with his childhood in Ohio. It highlights his dedication to community service, particularly through the Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation, which he launched in 2015.
“I created it because I really wanted to make sure the city felt as much love from me as I do on Sundays,” Kelce says in the video, expressing his passion for giving back to the Kansas City community.
The clip also features Kelce alongside teammate and quarterback Patrick Mahomes as they distribute gifts to children. Kelce speaks about his collaboration with Operation Breakthrough, an organization that provides high school students with entrepreneurial and STEM education through its Ignition Lab.
“It’s a beautiful thing to be a part of, and it’s really awesome to see the kids buy in,” Kelce says. “It’s made me a better person and a better man knowing that I can influence the community and the kids in the community to do the right things.”
Swift’s support for Kelce is no surprise, as she has been a fixture at Chiefs games throughout the NFL season, often seen cheering alongside his family. The couple recently spent Thanksgiving together in Tennessee with both of their families, including Kelce’s brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, and his wife and children.
The pair followed up their holiday celebration with a trip to Las Vegas, where the Chiefs secured a win against the Raiders on Black Friday.
The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award is one of the league’s most distinguished honors. Each year, all 32 NFL teams nominate a player who has demonstrated outstanding community service and on-field excellence.
The winner receives a $265,000 donation to a charity of their choice, courtesy of the NFL Foundation and Nationwide Foundation.

Kelce faces stiff competition for the award, with other nominees including Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and San Francisco 49ers linebacker Curtis Robinson. Fans can participate in the selection process by voting for their favorite nominee on the NFL’s official website.
As Kelce continues to shine both on and off the field, his relationship with Swift adds a layer of support and admiration to his already impressive legacy.
Whether it’s through her presence at games or her digital show of encouragement, Swift’s backing is undoubtedly helping Kelce as he strives for one of the highest honors in football.
