Taylor is finally sharing her thoughts on her whirlwind romance.
Known for keeping her romantic relationships private, Taylor Swift is breaking her silence about her connection with Travis Kelce, offering a new perspective. The 33-year-old singer, named Time’s 2023 Person of the Year, spoke openly for the first time about her relationship with the 34-year-old football player, which has captivated public attention since she first attended a Kansas City Chiefs game to support him in September.
Addressing the public nature of their relationship, Swift shared, “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care.” She emphasized that they take pride in each other’s achievements and support one another openly.
Discussing her frequent appearances at Arrowhead Stadium and other venues where Kelce plays, Swift acknowledged the challenge of being in the public eye but expressed a nonchalant attitude. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone,” she explained. “We’re just proud of each other.”
Regarding attending Chiefs games, a skill she has honed by being present at five games in the last three months, Swift discussed the experience of being constantly in the spotlight. She admitted to not knowing how cameras pinpoint her location in the family suites, sometimes with Kelce’s mom or other players’ wives. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast,” she revealed.

Swift clarified that her focus during games is solely on supporting Kelce, expressing ignorance about how often she appears on TV. “I’m just there to support Travis,” she affirmed. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
Reflecting on football in general, Swift admitted, “Football is awesome, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life.”
These insights into Swift’s relationship come shortly after Kelce shared his perspective on their love story in WSJ. Magazine’s December/January issue.
