Taylor Swift is showing her support for the Kansas City Chiefs’ latest recruit!
On Thursday the Chiefs announced that 20-year-old wide receiver Xavier Worthy had been drafted to the team. They posted an Instagram video capturing the moment Worthy received the news, surrounded by jubilant family and friends.
“The moment @worthyyy became a Kansas City Chief ?,” read the caption of the video, which Taylor Swift Swift, who is in a relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has become increasingly connected to the team.
This excitement follows Worthy’s impressive performance at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, where the former Texas Longhorns player clocked a record-breaking 40-yard dash time of 4.21 seconds.

Swift’s engagement with the Chiefs extends beyond her relationship with Kelce.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes recently highlighted the significant “buzz” Swift has brought to the team. In an episode of Complex Sports’ “I Got Time Today,” where athletes react to social media posts about themselves, Mahomes responded to a comment about Swift’s impact at Chiefs games.
A social media user praised Mahomes as “the best QB in the league” and potential “GOAT,” but noted, “Taylor Swift (I hate to say it) generated more revenue/buzz for the Chiefs by sitting her a– down in the box seats.”
Acknowledging the truth in that statement, Mahomes remarked, “That is true.” He then referenced Swift’s recent accolade, saying, “But she was, like, the TIME Person of the Year a couple of months before that, so it’s really cool to be on the cover of TIME.” He added, “And it does help when your best friend and your homie’s dating the most famous woman in the world,” nodding to the relationship between Swift and Kelce.
