Taylor Swift’s impact on football is evident, as she has increased the interest of both Gen Zers and millennials in the sport, according to a recent survey by LendingTree.
Approximately 24% of Gen Zers and 20% of millennials reported an increased interest in football due to Taylor Swift’s influence. The singer’s popularity extends to Super Bowl LVIII, with 31% of Gen Zers planning to root for the Chiefs in the big game because of Swift.
However, some people remain upset about this NFL season and Taylor Swift’s prominent presence.
Swift’s influence isn’t entirely positive, though. Across all Americans, 15% hate what she has done to the NFL, while 8% say they’re less interested in football because of her. Still, Americans are more loyal to football than the singer: Overall, 77% of Americans would rather have the best tickets to the Super Bowl than the best tickets to a Swift concert.

However, her presence has also led to some negative sentiments, as 8% of Americans claim to be less interested in football because of her. Despite this, Americans overall prioritize the Super Bowl over attending a Taylor Swift concert, with 77% choosing the former.
The Chiefs will face the San Francisco 49ers in the upcoming Super Bowl on February 11.
