During the holidays, Taylor Swift treated herself and her newly-formed Kansas City girl squad to some hearty Midwestern comfort food, as per information obtained by Page Six.
Megan Garrelts, co-owner of Rye restaurant in Leawood, Kan., shared exclusive details about the pop superstar’s visit. Swift arrived at the eatery with approximately eight women, all wives or girlfriends of Kansas City Chiefs players, including Brittany Mahomes, the wife of quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Garrelts highlighted the restaurant’s history of serving the Chiefs and mentioned that Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is a frequent visitor to their locations in Leawood and Kansas City, Mo. Describing Kelce as “awesome” and “super nice,” she noted his occasional privacy preferences but praised his friendly interactions with staff and patrons.
The Garrelts couple received advance notice of a notable visitor but were unaware it was the 12-time Grammy winner until Swift and her group arrived at 7:30 p.m. local time. They greeted her, the security team, and friends at a private entrance, ensuring a discreet entrance to a private dining room.

Swift, described as “very, very nice,” kept a low profile during the visit. The group ordered appetizers like goat cheese and a cheese plate, with most opting for salmon as their main course. Swift chose a plate of pasta and a French Blonde cocktail, reportedly her favorite. The evening was described as a lively girls’ night.
At one point, Swift’s visit became known when she requested to use the main dining room’s restroom. Chef Colby escorted her, maintaining privacy with her security team. The dinner concluded after three hours, around 10:30 p.m., with Swift graciously picking up the tab, though the exact amount was undisclosed. The group enjoyed Rye’s renowned banana cream and lemon meringue pie for dessert, with Swift indulging in a warmed-up cinnamon roll, a treat suggested by Kelce, who is a fan of the delicacy. The proprietor noted that Swift also requested a to-go box of cinnamon rolls for the ladies to take home.
The wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of the Chiefs remain one of the most tightly bonded groups in the NFL.
