Taylor Swift, the globally acclaimed pop superstar and Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, missed yet another one of his away games this weekend, as her demanding touring schedule continues to keep her on the move. The Grammy-winning artist was notably absent as the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Sunday.
Despite her relationship with Kelce drawing widespread media attention, Swift’s busy itinerary has made it challenging for her to attend every game.
Swift had just wrapped up three sold-out shows of her blockbuster Eras Tour at Rogers Centre in Toronto, performing from Thursday through Saturday to adoring crowds. With barely any time to rest, she will head next to Vancouver, where she is set to continue her record-breaking tour on December 6.
The Eras Tour, which has been praised for its elaborate stage design, lengthy setlists, and special fan interactions, has kept Swift occupied throughout 2024.
This isn’t the first Chiefs game that Swift has had to miss. Just last week, she was also absent when the Chiefs took on the Buffalo Bills, a game that saw Kansas City suffer a surprising 30-21 defeat, ending their winning streak.
The Chiefs had previously been undefeated before facing the Bills, making the loss a significant moment in their season.

Prior to the loss, the reigning Super Bowl champions secured a narrow victory against the Denver Broncos on November 10, with a final score of 16-14.
Swift attended that home game at Arrowhead Stadium, enthusiastically cheering Kelce on from a VIP suite, accompanied by her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift. Her presence was a highlight for Chiefs fans, who are used to seeing her celebrate Kelce’s accomplishments from the stands.
During the game against the Broncos, Kelce made history by scoring his 76th career touchdown, a feat that tied him with retired Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez for the most touchdowns by a tight end in franchise history. It was a special moment for Kelce, made even more memorable by the fact that Swift was there to witness it in person.
Swift’s mother, Andrea, even made a fashion statement in support of her daughter’s boyfriend. She wore a customized yellow Versace scarf that prominently featured Kelce’s jersey number, 87. The accessory, reportedly worth $550, was a small but touching tribute to Kelce and his contributions to the team.
Swift’s appearance at the Broncos game also made headlines for a different reason. Ahead of entering Arrowhead Stadium, the “Cruel Summer” singer was praised on social media for the way she handled an overzealous security guard.
After one of her security team members harshly instructed photographers to “stay back,” Swift calmly interjected, saying, “Stay back, please.” Fans admired her composure and kindness, dubbing her a “polite queen” for gracefully managing the situation.
The pop icon’s fashion choices also turned heads that day, as she donned a stylish Versace skirt suit, paired with a black silk corset and knee-high leather boots.
Her entrance to the game, complete with her signature bold style, was captured by numerous photographers, leading to an incident where another security guard demanded that photographers “stand up” to prevent them from taking photos at inappropriate angles of her miniskirt.
The guard’s concern was about maintaining Swift’s comfort and privacy in such a high-profile setting.
Swift seemed to enjoy her time in the suite, mingling with other Chiefs players’ partners. She was photographed holding Chariah Gordon’s baby girl, showing her maternal side and easily connecting with the other WAGs.
Despite missing recent away games, Swift’s presence at home games continues to draw significant attention, further fueling the excitement surrounding her relationship with Kelce and her support for the Kansas City Chiefs.
