A Chiefs fan, mistakenly identified as Taylor Swift during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Christmas Day game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, has taken to social media to clear up the confusion surrounding her newfound fame.
The real Taylor Swift, known for supporting her boyfriend Travis Kelce at home games, did not travel to Pittsburgh, staying consistent with her decision to avoid Chiefs road games this season. However, as fans and reporters eagerly scanned the VIP suites before kickoff, they believed they had spotted the global superstar taking her seat.
The woman in question was actually Olivia Adamonis, who has since shared her side of the story in her debut TikTok video.
“I noticed people waving and taking pictures of me in the suite,” Adamonis explained. “I didn’t want to seem rude, so I just waved back.”
It wasn’t until after the game that Adamonis realized the extent of the mix-up.
“A staff member came up to me and said, ‘You know you’re all over TikTok and Twitter, right?’” she said. “I started scrolling through social media, and there were tons of pictures and posts about me.”

Adamonis addressed the mistaken identity with humor, saying, “I can understand how people thought I was Taylor from far away—my hair, the way my makeup was done, and the red lipstick probably didn’t help. But I’m so sorry to everyone who got confused—it was just me!”
Swift’s absence meant she missed an incredible performance by Kelce.
The Chiefs’ star tight end set a franchise record with his 77th career touchdown, surpassing the legendary Tony Gonzalez. Kelce’s fourth-quarter score was part of a commanding 29-10 victory over the Steelers, a win that secured Kansas City the No. 1 seed in the AFC and a first-round bye in the playoffs.
As the Chiefs prepare for their final regular-season game against the Denver Broncos on January 5, head coach Andy Reid is expected to rest key players, including Kelce, to keep them fresh for the playoffs.
The Chiefs will return to action the weekend of January 18-19 at Arrowhead Stadium, where Swift is widely expected to cheer Kelce on in person.
Fans can rest assured there will be no confusion about Swift’s presence during the postseason, as the Chiefs aim for an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl victory.
Until then, Olivia Adamonis has humorously embraced her brief moment in the spotlight, proving that even a case of mistaken identity can bring some holiday cheer.
