Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce wasn’t present at girlfriend Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” Paris show on Thursday night, but the pop sensation still acknowledged her boyfriend.
Swifties were quick to spot that during her performance of “So High School,” she seemed to incorporate the Kansas City Chiefs’ “Swag Surfin'” celebration, as videos of the concert started making rounds on X.
Swift was observed engaging in the accompanying dance for the Fast Life Youngstaz’ 2009 hit during the Kansas City Chiefs’ playoff triumph over the Miami Dolphins back in January, so it indeed appeared that those moves served as inspiration.
Page Six recently confirmed the subtle tribute to Kelce.
“A video obtained by Page Six showed Swift sitting on a staircase — appearing to represent stadium bleachers — alongside several background dancers as they synchronously swayed side to side and moved their hands like waves,” Page Six wrote. “While bouncing, Swift sang, ‘It’s true, scouts honor / You knew what you wanted, and boy you got her.'”
“So High School,” a track from Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, is reportedly inspired by Kelce.
Another song on the album, “The Alchemy,” also references football and winning streaks, leading many to associate it with Kelce.
Kelce is anticipated to join Swift on the “Eras Tour” in Europe soon.
Swift will head to Sweden next week.
