Taylor Swift is hitting all the right notes, and it appears that her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is keeping a close eye on her every move.
Swift’s dedicated fanbase, known as the Swifties, is abuzz with speculation that the Kansas City Chiefs star made a surprise appearance in her latest music video, “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” which premiered on Tuesday. The video features behind-the-scenes footage of Swift, 34, rehearsing for her massively successful Eras Tour, and fans believe they’ve spotted Kelce, also 34, in the background.
The mystery man in question is seen sitting behind a table, dressed in a white long-sleeve shirt and black pants, with what appears to be facial hair. Though the figure is blurry, many Swifties are convinced it’s Kelce, leading to a flurry of excitement online.
Social media quickly lit up with fans celebrating what they believe to be Kelce’s “music video debut.” One enthusiastic fan pointed out that Kelce had managed to “make it into a Taylor Swift music video in his rookie year” of their relationship. Others were amazed at how sharp-eyed viewers noticed the potential cameo, while some questioned whether the speculation was serious or just wishful thinking.
One fan humorously admitted to scouring the entire video in search of the NFL star, saying, “I was searching for him in the whole damn video!! LOL.”
This isn’t the first time Kelce has been linked to Swift’s performances. Just two months ago, he made headlines with his first onstage appearance during one of Swift’s concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium. The tight end joined her during the “Tortured Poets Department” segment of the show, much to the delight of the crowd.

Kelce later revealed on his “New Heights” podcast that the surprise cameo was his idea. “I was like, ‘How fun would it be if I just rolled out on one of the bikes during the ‘1989’ era?’” Kelce recalled. He shared that Swift found the idea amusing and asked if he was serious about it. “I was like … ‘I’ve seen the show enough. Might as well put me to work here,’” Kelce joked. He praised Swift for finding the “perfect part of the show” for his cameo, calling it the “safest option” for his brief but memorable appearance.
Despite teasing the possibility of more onstage cameos, Kelce has mostly remained in the audience for subsequent performances, including shows in Dublin and Amsterdam. His appearances at Swift’s concerts have become a point of interest for both Swifties and football fans alike.
However, Kelce hasn’t attended an Eras Tour show since July, as he’s been focused on training camp ahead of his 12th NFL season. The Eras Tour, which began in March 2023 and spans 149 shows, is set to wrap up in December—just a few months after Kelce and Swift’s relationship became public.
As the tour continues and Kelce remains focused on football, fans are left to wonder whether there will be more surprise cameos from the NFL star in the future—or if his rumored appearance in the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” video is just another example of Swift and Kelce’s playful, high-profile romance.
