A cat rescue organization in the Buffalo area is expressing gratitude to Taylor Swift’s fans after their overwhelming support in honor of Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass, a football player known for his love of felines.
Kimberly LaRussa, representing Ten Lives Club in Erie County, New York, shared that Swifties, or fans of Taylor Swift, rallied together to show their love for Tyler Bass, who faced criticism after missing a game-tying field goal against the Kansas City Chiefs.
LaRussa reported that the shelter has received over $260,000 in donations as of Thursday afternoon, a significant boost for their efforts to rescue and care for homeless and abandoned cats in Western New York. She expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, emphasizing the positive impact it will have on their organization.

“There are a lot of Swiftie groups out there that are rallying and donating on behalf of Tyler Bass,” LaRussa said via Today.
After Tyler Bass faced hateful threats following the missed field goal in Sunday’s game, Ten Lives Club, where Bass serves as an ambassador, stepped in to support him. The organization, known for its collaboration with celebrities and athletes through the Show Your Soft Side nonprofit, had previously introduced rescue kittens to Tyler.
LaRussa highlighted the kindness of Tyler Bass, mentioning that he chose to support cats when many athletes typically posed with dogs during the Show Your Soft Side promotion. Despite the negativity directed at him after the game, the cat shelter remains appreciative of Bass, acknowledging his efforts to make a difference for their cause.
Bass himself expressed responsibility for the missed field goal, acknowledging the need for improvement and taking accountability for the outcome of the game. Despite the challenges, both Ten Lives Club and Bass remain united in their shared commitment to supporting and caring for animals.
Wishing Tyler Bass a nice offseason.
