19 sacks are just not enough.
Despite leading the NFL with 19 sacks in the 2023 season, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end T.J. Watt revealed that he will not be winning the Defensive Player of the Year award.
This led to him no showing the NFL Honors ceremony Thursday night as he posted “Playing Hooky” on Instagram.
It appears as if Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett will take home Defensive Player of the Year honors, and he is certainly in attendance.
Watt, a six-time NFL Pro Bowler who has played with the Steelers since the 2017 season, won the DPOY award in 2021 when he had a career-high 22.5 sacks.
