Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark picked up her third technical foul of the season on Thursday night after a heated exchange with Seattle Storm guard Victoria Vivians.
The incident occurred when Vivians bumped Clark following a successful 3-pointer by the talented rookie in the first half.
The referees quickly stepped in to defuse the situation, issuing double technicals to both players.
Although this incident might not seem significant yet, Clark is now only four technical fouls away from a suspension.
The WNBA mandates a one-game suspension for any player who accumulates seven technical fouls in a season.

The Fever are likely to inform Clark of this, but it won’t alter her playing style.
Clark is known for her intense competitiveness, which she emphasizes won’t change.
“Being competitive is who I am, sort of through my whole career,” Clark said. “I think at times there are ways I can probably channel it a little better, but that’s just basketball at the end of the day. That’s never going to change. I’m never going to lose that. I feel like I’m getting hammered.”
The Fever fell once again to the Seattle Storm 103-88 on Thursday night.
Clark finished with 20 points and nine assists over 40 minutes.
Next up for Clark is a matchup against the Chicago Sky, where she will face one of her biggest rivals, Angel Reese.
