Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson had a night to forget in Sacramento as his Warriors lost to the Sacramento Kings in the Western Conference play-in tournament.
Thompson failed to score a point shooting 0/10 in what will probably go down as the worst game of his career.
The trio of Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Thompson have been together since 2012 but speculation has emerged that this could be the end of the trio.
Thompson is a free agent and clearly not the player he once was.
However, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr issued a definitive statement on Thompson’s future following the game.
“We need Klay back, he still has good years left. And I speak for everyone, we want him back.”

The 34-year-old Thompson has played his entire career with the Warriors and had a career-worst season in many regards for the Warriors in 2023-24.
Thompson’s 17.9 points per game average was his lowest since the 2012-13 season and his 38.7% three-point percentage was only the second time of his career shooting under 40% from three-point range.
Thompson wasn’t the only one who Kerr stated he wanted back next season.
Kerr would also like to see Chris Paul back who spent his first year with the Warriors in 2023-24.
Considering the age of Curry, Green, Thompson, and Paul, it certainly seems like this is a team that needs to be broken up and start getting younger.
