Stephen A. Smith stirred frustration among Dallas Cowboys fans with his comments on the Dak Prescott era, deeming it a “failure” during Friday morning’s episode of First Take.
Although this may not sit well with Cowboys supporters, Smith does raise a valid point.
In the time that Prescott has been the team’s quarterback, the Cowboys have fallen short of advancing past the divisional round of the playoffs and have only won two playoff games in seven seasons.

This level of performance is simply not sufficient, and the pressure will be on for the team to succeed this season.

The Cowboys have not made it to a Super Bowl or an NFC Championship Game since 1995, adding to the urgency for improvement.
Their 2023 season will kick off on September 10th with a Sunday Night Football matchup against the New York Giants at 8:20 p.m. ET.
