Stephen A. Smith, a well-known sports commentator, recently had a change of heart after attending a Taylor Swift concert with his teenage daughters and their friends.
Despite initially dishing out a hefty $20,000 for the tickets, Smith admitted that the experience was worth every penny.
On his show, he explained the motivation behind his expensive purchase, stating that as a father with teenage daughters, he couldn’t turn down their request for tickets when they had promised their friends that he would provide them.
“I have two daughters…Teenagers have friends,” Smith explained on a recent installement of the Stephen A. Smith Show. “And so, when your dad is perceived as having money… and you got daughters that opened their mouths and promises them that daddy’s going to get them tickets…ladies and gentlemen I had to get ten tickets. Them damn things was $2,000 a piece. Two times ten is $20,000!”
However, Smith was pleasantly surprised by the concert, proclaiming it as the best he has ever attended.
He couldn’t contain his enthusiasm, even swearing while expressing his awe at Taylor Swift’s performance.
Smith was deeply impressed by her skills and energy, stating that he would gladly pay to see her again.
He expressed that her talent and stage presence made her a true superstar and a truly special artist.
