It appears that Stephen Curry has subtly picked a side in the ongoing feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.
A few weeks ago, the Golden State Warriors star was caught on video during a warm-up session, visibly reacting to Lamar’s hit single, “Not Like Us,” playing over the speakers. Curry, looking frustrated, remarked, “It’s not the only song in America,” expressing his annoyance at hearing the track repeatedly.
This moment led many fans to believe that Curry was showing his loyalty to Drake, a longtime friend who has mentioned him in songs like “0 To 100.”
While Lamar has also referenced Curry in his lyrics, he has taken shots at both Curry and LeBron James in another Drake diss track, “Meet The Grahams,” warning them to distance themselves from the Toronto rapper.

In a recent interview with GQ Sports, Curry confirmed his allegiance to Drake. “I’m a big Drake guy. I’ve been for a long time,” Curry stated. “I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that, but I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.”
The Lamar vs. Drake feud has not only shaken up the hip-hop scene but also made waves in the sports world. Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” even features a shoutout to Sacramento Kings power forward DeMar DeRozan, who appeared in the music video. Despite his cameo, DeRozan clarified that he wasn’t taking sides and maintained his friendship with Drake.
Meanwhile, the animosity between Drake and Serena Williams was palpable at the ESPY Awards in July, where Williams had some choice words for Drake.
Curry’s recent comments and his visible reactions suggest that while he respects both artists, his loyalty lies with Drake. This allegiance highlights the intersection of sports and music, where personal friendships and professional rivalries often intertwine, creating compelling narratives both on and off the court.
