Stefon Diggs recently shared his enthusiasm about his fresh start with the Houston Texans, describing the move as a “breath of fresh air.”
This comment has sparked speculation about his level of contentment during his tenure with the Buffalo Bills in New York.
The trade that brought Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 Draft pick surprised many NFL fans, though Diggs revealed that the move had been in the works for some time.
Despite his age, the 30-year-old receiver remains highly effective, as evidenced by his 107 receptions from 160 targets, accumulating eight touchdowns in 2023. With the Texans, Diggs finds a new quarterback target in CJ Stroud, who is poised to benefit from his experience and skill.

“The team has been very welcoming,” Diggs told the media. “It’s a genuine environment where you feel loved and supported. That’s the kind of environment where I thrive,” Diggs said via ESPN.
Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowl nominee and a first-team All-Pro who led the NFL in receptions and receiving yards in 2020, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the Texans. Over his career, he has amassed 67 receiving touchdowns and nearly 10,000 yards from 810 receptions, impressive figures that underscore his impact on the field.
At 30, Diggs’ role with the Texans extends beyond his on-field performance. He is expected to provide leadership and mentorship to younger players, including Stroud, helping them elevate their game.
“Diggs has come in and immediately taken on a leadership role,” Stroud commented. “He’s been unselfish and focused on helping everyone succeed. He wanted to be surrounded by competitive teammates, and he’s embraced that fully here.”
Stroud added, “It’s been amazing working with him so far, and I’m excited for what’s to come.” The synergy between Diggs and Stroud could signal a new era for the Texans, as they look to rebuild and strengthen their team dynamics.
