Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs will be wearing the number one with his new team.
However, it will come at a cost.
Diggs reportedly paid safety Jimmy Ward $100,000 for his number one jersey which he wore last year in his first season with the team.
Diggs was acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday in which the Houston Texans sent over a 2025 second-round pick via the Minnesota Vikings.

Following the trade, the Texans made a clever contract move which made Diggs a free agent next offseason.
Diggs will turn 31 in November of 2024 and will certainly be looking for one more major contract following the 2024 NFL season.
The four-time Pro Bowler had a down year by his standards in 2023 with quarterback Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills with 1,183 receiving yards which was his lowest total since the 2019 season with the Minnesota Vikings.
Diggs will be hoping to help the reigning AFC South champions to their second consecutive AFC South title as things are looking up for them with 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year quarterback C.J. Stroud entering his second season.
