Talk about strange timing.
According to ESPN’s Diana Russini, the Buffalo Bills are trading their star wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick. In addition to the second-round pick, Houston will also be acquiring a 2025 fifth and sixth-rounder from the Bills.
This trade marks the end of Diggs’ four-year tenure with the Bills, during which the 30-year-old receiver earned four consecutive Pro Bowl selections and scored a total of 37 touchdowns. He will now join the Texans, where he will be paired with quarterback C.J. Stroud, who earned Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and guided the Texans to the playoffs.

Diggs’ standout season occurred in 2020 when he led the league with 127 receptions for 1,535 yards and eight touchdowns. Prior to his time in Buffalo, Diggs spent the first five seasons of his career with the Minnesota Vikings after being drafted in the fifth round in 2015.
Notably, just yesterday, Diggs had made comments seemingly critical of Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
The trade involving Diggs is the latest in a series of roster changes for the Bills during the offseason. Following the departure of Gabriel Davis in free agency, the team has acquired wide receivers Curtis Samuel and Mack Hollins, who are expected to fill key roles alongside holdover Khalil Shakir.
Facing salary cap constraints, the Bills have also parted ways with several veteran players, including Tre’Davious White and Jordan Poyer.
