Aileen Hnatiuk, the popular sports host, has left New Orleans Saints fans disappointed after announcing her new team.
The 26-year-old, who recently joined NBC affiliate WFLA-TV in Tampa, excitedly urged her followers to “fire the cannons” as she began working with her new NFL franchise.
Having gained fame while working for NBC’s affiliate in Louisiana, where she covered the Saints in the NFL and LSU college sports, Hnatiuk’s departure to Florida left fans in awe of her good looks.
New Orleans supporters expressed their devastation upon seeing her dressed in the colors of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Some fans pleaded for her to return to Louisiana, while others stated that they thought she was a true fan of New Orleans.
However, Hnatiuk reassured her followers that South Louisiana would always hold a special place in her heart.
Alongside her coverage of Tampa’s professional sports teams, including the Buccaneers, Lightning, Rays, and Rowdies, she will also be reporting on the University of South Florida athletics.
It is worth noting that Hnatiuk, a former volleyball star for the East Carolina University Pirates, is the daughter of ex-PGA golfer Glen Hnatiuk.
